It contains cavalry , chariots , archers ,infantry units , including some of the best --preserved and most iconic fingers like kneeling archer . Pit 3 : The smallest , believed to be the high --ranking command post of the army , with officers and ceremonial chariot. 2 : Ongoing Archaeological Work : Visitors can often see the archaeologists at work in the pits , painstaking excavating and reconstructing broken figures , offering a live view of the restoration process . Visitors can view the exterior and walk around the park --liked area , but the interior tomb ( said to contain palaces and treasures ) remains sealed for preservation . 2 : Two bronze chariots and horses : A separate exhibition hall house two incredibly detailed half --life --sized bronze chariots , each drawn by four bronze horses .They are marvels of ancient metallurgy and were found near the Emperor's tomb .
