Marvel at the impressive cellar, where up to 12,500 wheels of cheese are stored, and try to guess the most secret ingredients of the world-famous Appenzeller cheese during a cheese tasting. 2502 m above sea level, the Säntis is the highest mountain in the eastern part of Switzerland and is the ideal adventure mountain for young and old. The cable car runs every 30 minutes from Schwägalp up to the Säntis summit. At the summit there are two modern restaurants and an interactive adventure world for around 400,000 visitors a year. From here you have a wonderful view over the magnificent Swiss Alps. (Due to the renovation of the cable car to Mount Santis (May–November 2026), the tour guide will accompany you to another mountain, also by cable car. Either Kronberg, Ebenalp, or Hoher Kasten, depending on the weather and the wishes of the guests.)
