Cape Coast is a corrupted name of the Portuguese world Cabo Corso, and the city Cape Coast is a world heritage site with astonishing standings of several colonial buildings like Elmina castle built by the Portuguese in the early 1470's, Cape Coast castle built the Swedish in 1652 and it was later captured by the British.
