Third stop: Zipolite
For lunch, enjoy some fresh seafood at one of the local beachfront restaurants, where you can savor regional dishes like ceviche or fish tacos while taking in the view of the ocean. After lunch, you might want to explore the nearby Punta Cometa, a rocky promontory that offers panoramic views of the coastline, especially beautiful at sunset.

Visit the National Mexican Turtle Center (Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga) Mazunte is known for its sea turtle conservation efforts. The turtle center offers educational exhibits, and you can learn about different species of turtles, their life cycles, and the conservation work being done. Depending on the season, you might even get to witness baby turtles being released into the sea. Available Wednesday- Sunday. 2. Hike to Punta Cometa Punta Cometa is a stunning viewpoint just a short hike from Mazunte. From here, you’ll get incredible panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. It’s especially popular at sunset for the beautiful vistas. The hike is relatively easy and takes around 30 minutes.
