Discover the breathtaking landscapes of northern Georgia on a full-day journey from Tbilisi to Kazbegi, traveling along the legendary Georgian Military Highway into the heart of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.

Your adventure begins in Tbilisi where you will meet your Driver and depart toward the mountains. As we leave the capital behind, the scenery gradually transforms into beautiful valleys, reservoirs, historic fortresses, and dramatic mountain landscapes.
Our first major stop is Zhinvali Reservoir, famous for its turquoise waters surrounded by green hills and mountains. It is one of the most picturesque locations along the Georgian Military Highway and a perfect place for photographs.
We then continue to Ananuri Fortress, a historic castle complex overlooking the reservoir. Once home to the powerful Aragvi dynasty, Ananuri features defensive towers, ancient walls, and beautiful churches. Your guide will introduce you to the fascinating history of this important Georgian landmark while you explore the complex.

The journey continues deeper into the Caucasus. Along the way, we stop near Pasanauri, where you can see the famous meeting point of the Black and White Aragvi rivers. The two rivers, traditionally known for their contrasting colors, flow together through the mountain valley.

Next, we travel toward Gudauri, Georgia's best-known mountain resort. Here we visit the spectacular Gudauri Friendship Monument, located high above the surrounding valleys. From the panoramic viewpoint, you can enjoy incredible views of the Greater Caucasus and take memorable photos overlooking the dramatic mountain landscape.

From Gudauri, we continue through mountain passes and spectacular scenery toward Stepantsminda, commonly known as Kazbegi. This small mountain town sits beneath the impressive peaks of the Caucasus and serves as the gateway to one of Georgia's most iconic landmarks.

The highlight of the day is a visit to the legendary Gergeti Trinity Church, located at approximately 2,170 meters above sea level. We travel up the mountain to reach this 14th-century church, dramatically positioned above Stepantsminda. On a clear day, the area offers magnificent views of Mount Kazbek, one of Georgia's highest and most famous mountains.
