What you can expect

  • Explore the former royal capital of Vietnam, Hue, on an exclusive and unique cyclo ride. Travel to see the beautiful manmade Tinh Tam Lake before you marvel at Hue's Imperial City. See the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, and Nine Holy Cannons, all on this half-day tour.

After pickup from your hotel in Hue, travel to the city center and get ready to explore on this unique cyclo ride. Hop in this 3-wheeled rickshaw and begin your private tour to Tinh Tam Lake, one of the most famous and beautiful spots in this ancient imperial capital. Located adjacent to Dinh Tien Road, this manmade, rectangular lake is an iconic achievement of 19th-century architecture.

Afterward, head to Hue's Imperial City, home of the citadel, and take in its high stone walls. Spot the tall Flag Tower, built during the reign of Emperor Gia Long to serve as Hue's focal point. Next, travel to the Ngo Mon Gate, the entrance to the Imperial Palace, which was commonly used by the emperor to view his troops.

Later, your private guide takes you to see the Nine Dynastic Urns, magnificent bronze vases cast to signify the sovereignty of the Nguyen Dynasty, and the Nine Holy Cannons, symbolic guards of the spirits in the citadel. After your half-day adventure, your return transfer takes you back to your Hue hotel.
