What you can expect

  • Experience a fixed 8-hour private sightseeing day trip from Sapporo to Asahiyama Zoo, Biei, and Ningle Terrace in Furano. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with pickup and return at your hotel within the selected Sapporo service area. Vehicle use, fuel, highway tolls, parking, and Asahiyama Zoo admission are included.

    After pickup, travel approximately 2 hours to Asahiyama Zoo. Spend about 75 minutes exploring its specially designed viewing areas and observing penguins, polar bears, seals, and other northern animals. The winter penguin walk is available only on dates announced by the zoo and cannot be guaranteed.

    Continue with an approximately 40-minute drive to Biei and stop for about 15 minutes at the Ken & Mary Tree. Take photos of this well-known countryside landmark surrounded by rolling fields, seasonal greenery, autumn colors, or winter snow.

    Next, travel approximately 50 minutes to Ningle Terrace in Furano. Enjoy about 30 minutes walking among the wooden cabins, browsing handmade crafts, and taking photos in the peaceful forest setting.

    After visiting Ningle Terrace, return to your original Sapporo hotel. The return journey takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes under normal road conditions.

    The route and approximate stop durations are planned within the fixed 8-hour service. Travel times may vary because of traffic, snow, weather, parking restrictions, or attraction operations. When necessary, time at the stops may be shortened to ensure the activity finishes within 8 hours. The tour follows the published route, and stops cannot be replaced with unrelated destinations.

    This is a self-guided sightseeing trip with private transportation. The driver provides transportation between the listed stops and does not provide guided commentary. Guide service and an English-speaking driver are not included.

    Meals, drinks, shopping, optional activities, and personal expenses are not included. No separate lunch stop is scheduled, so guests may purchase food during the zoo visit if time and facilities allow.
