This tour begins in Marrakech and ends in Fez.
Overnight accommodation in Ouarzazate is at the Riad Dar Chamaa or similar. Rooms are private; you will not share with strangers.
Overnight accommodation in Merzouga is in a private Berber tent, with one tent for each family or couple. Showers and bathrooms are outside and shared.
You must present a valid passport on the day of the activity.
Pickup is available from the location of your choosing in Marrakech. You will be able to arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation.
This tour departs at 8:30 AM on day 1.

Day 1: Meet your guide in Marrakech and set off in the direction of the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas. Wind your way through Berber villages on your way to Ait-Ben-Haddou, a fascinating kasbah complex that rises from the red sands and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy dinner before settling into an authentic riad for the night.

Day 2: Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, Valley of Roses, Togha Gorge, Erg Chebbi & Desert Camp Get up in the morning and drive along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. Stop in the palm grove of Skoura to admire beautiful structures like the 17th-century Kasbah Amridil and Kasbah Ait Abou, and make your way to Kalaat M'Gouna, where the annual Festival of Roses is celebrated. Peruse shops selling rosewater and beauty products made with this fragrant flower.

In the afternoon, arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi in Mergouza. Climb onto a camel for the 90-minute ride across the wind-shaped sands, watching the sun sink down over the desert before arriving at a typical Berber camp. Play drums with the camel drivers, have a traditional dinner, and spend the night in a nomadic tent or under the vast and starry sky.

Day 3: Rise early to catch the magical spectacle of the sun rising over the rose-gold dunes, and then savor a typical breakfast in the bivouac before climbing onto your camel to ride back to meet your driver. From there, pass through the Ziz Valley and stop for lunch before arriving in the cedar forests of Cèdre Gouraud.
