Step into the Douro Valley, the world’s first demarcated wine region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a full-day experience that brings together exceptional wines, authentic local cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and warm Douro hospitality.
We leave Porto in the morning and make our way into the heart of the valley, following scenic roads and stopping at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Douro River and its iconic terraced vineyards.
If you choose the 2 Wineries option:
One of the stops is a small, family-owned winery, where you’ll meet the winemaker and discover the story behind the estate. Enjoy a tasting of Douro wines, local olive oil, and products from nearby producers, surrounded by the vineyards that make this region so unique.
You’ll learn about the winemaking process, the family’s history, and the traditions that have shaped the Douro wine culture for generations.
We will also visit Pinhão, one of the Douro Valley’s most charming villages. Here, you’ll enjoy a relaxing 1-hour boat cruise along the Douro River, accompanied by sparkling wine. From the water, you’ll have a unique perspective of the valley’s landscape and vineyard-covered hillsides.
After the cruise, we continue along part of the famous N222, one of Portugal’s most scenic roads, with spectacular views of the river and surrounding vineyards.
At one of the wineries, we’ll enjoy a traditional farm-style lunch served at the estate, accompanied by Douro wines and products from local producers.
In the afternoon, we begin our journey back to Porto, arriving at approximately 6:00 PM.
