The Pompeii walking tour starts from Piazza Esedra, more precisely you will meet your tour guide near the Coffee Shop Vittoria bar. Thanks to the skip-the-line service, the tour guide will purchase entrance tickets to the archaeological site. You will receive the most interesting basic notions about the most famous UNESCO archaeological site in the world and the guide will show you the most important places such as the amphitheatre, the ancient Roman Domus with frescoes, the very famous Via dell'Abbondanza, the Stabian baths, the Lupanare, the forum, the Basilica and the first casts of 1863 made by the Arch. Giuseppe Fiorelli. You will have the opportunity to take several photos during short stops. The tour inside the ruins lasts approximately 2 hours. This was a good highlight tour of Pompeii. There was a lot of tough terrain, and my mother had a tough time keeping up with the tour guide as she hustled around the view points.

I would not recommend this particular company for a tour of Pompeii. We booked a small group tour of 20 or less. We were placed into a tour group of about 35 people. The tour was for 2 hours but it began 30 minutes late and finished 15 minutes early. We booked an English speaking tour but our tour guide had a very thick accent which made it difficult to understand. Finally we did not see all the highlights that we should have like many of the other tours. I have taken many tours in many countries and this did not meet expectations.

it was an informative tour. Our female guide was a bit hard to understand as she had a very heavy accent. We did appreciate that she tried to keep us away from the other crowds that were there because it was very crowded. She kept doing the tour in a different order so we could be the only group which helped a lot with trying to understand her. i’m glad we did the tour and can mark it off the bucket list. We loved the little area where you pick up the tour. There’s a nice café with a full menu or just desserts or cold drinks which is nice.

Esther was a knowledgable and thorough guide! The entire tour was 2 hours, and we walked most of the main city and saw the big sights. Hearing the historical and artistic context behind the sights really enhanced the experience. This is a great way to see and understand Pompeii. The meeting point was easy to find at the entrance, although we did not realize there were two main entrances. The meeting point is farthest from the train, so we had to walk well over a mile to the proper entrance near the bus park. Give yourself plenty of time to find it if you arrive to the city via train. The staff was helpful in setting us up with our guide and entrance was easy.
