What you can expect

  • Discover 2 of Italy's most celebrated attractions: the ancient city of Pompeii and the volcano that unleashed its fury on the city in 70 AD, Mount Vesuvius. Explore the ruins of what was once a prosperous town in the Roman Empire and enjoy a hike to the crater of the breathtaking volcano.

Journey from Naples and head to the now infamous town of Pompeii, snuggled in the sweeping shadow of giant Mount Vesuvius. Go back in time to see what Roman life would have been like 2,000 years ago, as you stroll around the incredibly well-preserved ruins. Listen as your expert guide tells you stories of the people that lived in Pompeii and the shocking truth of their demise.

Your adventure continues as you make your way to Mount Vesuvius. Dominating the Bay of Naples, this is the only still-active volcano on the mainland of Europe. It still poses a threat to the people of Naples and the surrounding area. Take the opportunity to trek to the top of the volcano and peer into its enormous crater.
