The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in Pokhara. On Phewa Lake you take a rowing boat out to Tal Barahi, a small Hindu temple on an island in the lake. On clear mornings the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre show in the water.

You then drive east to Begnas Lake, about 15 km from Lakeside. It is much quieter than Phewa, with fish farms and rice fields along the shore. A second boat ride takes you out on the water here.

Lunch is a Thakali set meal of rice, lentils, vegetables and pickles at a local restaurant.

The last stop is Rupa Lake, a small lake in farmland on the other side of the hill from Begnas, where few visitors go. In the afternoon you drive back to your hotel.
