With this tour you will have the chance to discover the beautiful town of Plovdiv, considered to be the oldest existing in Europe! It is also very charming because it is located along several hills and it is crossed by the big Maritza river.
The tour departs at 9am from Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The traveling time to Plovdiv is about 2 hours. In Plovdiv itself you will have about 2- hour guided tour with which you will see its unique Revival old town, rich Roman heritage- the theater, the stadium and the forum. You will also climb to the top of one of the hills and see the beautiful panoramic views from there and finally walk along the main pedestrian street of the town which is the longest in Europe.
After the guided tour there will be about 2 hours free time for lunch break and some shopping.
The departure towards Sofia is at about 3pm and the return about 5 pm.
