    The Plaster Casting Workshop is an experiential experience for any visitor interested in getting to know in a simple and pleasant way, the use of gypsum in Greek architecture and the decoration of buildings. It is based on the contact with the material and the creativity that the participants will experience. Also, the historical reference to the application of gypsum in mansions and neoclassical buildings, through photographic albums and documents, as well as the knowledge about the stages of processing and production of the material, is an exciting experience! As mentioned above, the aim of the theoretical and practical part is for the participants to acquire the basic knowledge so that they know about:

This workshop is a hands-on experience for any visitor interested in getting to know, in a simple and pleasant way, the use of gypsum in Greek architecture and buildings' decoration. It is based on the contact with this material and the participant's creativity. Also, the participant will get to learn the historical reference to the application of gypsum in the mansions and neoclassical buildings of Samos Island, through audiovisual documents, as well as the knowledge about the stages of processing and production of the material.

45 years of history and experience in the processing and manufacture of gypsum objects come to life through this specially designed training course.

The workshop aims for the participant to create a collaborative relationship with the instructors, through the transmission of information and the transfer of knowledge, in order to upgrade their educational knowledge, and get ready to walk the “Path of the Gypsum Craftsman”.

The program has 6 levels of difficulty. It has been designed in such a way that participants, through an evolutionary process, upgrade their knowledge of gypsum processing.

The participant can choose whether to participate in all difficulty levels.

The training course lasts one hour and thirty minutes ( 1:30 ).
