What you can expect

  • Begin your Pittsburgh sweet treats adventure in the heart of downtown at the historic Omni William Penn Hotel, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. As you learn about Pittsburgh's rich history and the fascinating stories behind this grand hotel, enjoy an almond torte donut inspired by the famous Burnt Almond Torte, a beloved local dessert that has earned national recognition.

Our sweet adventure kicks off at Prantl's inside the grand Omni William Penn Hotel, steps from Mellon Square. Dig into their famous almond torte donut, a legendary Pittsburgh bite and a delicious first stop.

Next we head to lively Market Square and Nicholas Coffee & Tea, a hand-picked downtown favorite, for a coffee or another fun treat. Guests love the chocolate-covered coffee beans while your guide shares the city's history.

Then we stroll past the glassy towers of PPG Place to La Gourmandine for a taste of France. Their buttery, flaky croissants are incredible, and one bite shows why this bakery made our list.

We finish in the Cultural District near Heinz Hall at Sultan, home of sweet, flaky baklava. It's an unforgettable final treat, with the Roberto Clemente Bridge just a stroll away for photos.
