The walk, suitable for everyone, will allow us to discover the strong bond between the city, the river, and the hills that surround it; among olive groves, architectural landmarks (city walls, churches of Santo Stefano and Niccolao, church of San Francesco, Castello di Bareglia), and the “cellars,” we will learn about the flora and fauna that lie within.
We start and finish the walk on the terrace of Pescia's town hall.
We descend to the banks of the river and continue walking first along the medieval walls of the Duomo and then through the narrow streets of the Mercatale, the commercial heart of the city. An easy and fascinating 2-hour trekking experience where we can enjoy the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the most authentic Tuscany.
