Today, you’ll enjoy an exclusive private guided tour of Perugia, the charming capital of the Umbria region. Perched on a picturesque hillside, the city captivates visitors not only with its stunning setting, but also with the timeless beauty of its historic architecture.
Long before Roman rule, ancient Perusia was one of the twelve cities of the Etruscan federation. Even today, impressive stretches of its original Etruscan walls—once extending for 2,800 meters around the city—remain beautifully preserved, offering a glimpse into its fascinating past.
Perugia also holds a special place in the art world as the heart of the Umbrian School of painting during the 15th and 16th centuries. Great masters such as Pietro Vannucci (known as Perugino) and Bernardino Betti (known as Pinturicchio) worked here. The young Raphael trained in Perugino’s workshop until 1504.
Throughout your visit, you’ll encounter remarkable works by all three artists, displayed in Perugia’s churches and historic buildings—an inspiring journey through art, history, and enduring beauty.
After the guided visit, you will reach a local restaurant to enjoy some of the region's specialties with drinks included.
During your stay in Perugia, you will visit the Casa del Cioccolato Perugina (Perugina Chocolate House), located within the renowned Perugina factory. This enchanting place offers a true journey into the world of chocolate, where you can indulge in exquisite tastings and explore a fascinating collection of vintage images, labels, posters, elegant gift boxes, and historic machinery once used in chocolate production. You’ll also discover the story behind its most iconic creation, the famous Baci Perugina—a symbol of Italian sweetness known and loved around the world. The visit of the Casa del Cioccolato Perugina (Perugina Chocolate House) is shared with other participants.
