Overview

Design and create aromatic collars, with minimalist and timeless design, in 18k gold and 950 silver.

It was from the contemplative encounter of jewelry and design objects with the vast universe of aromatherapy that I created Casa ILHA - a space to feel.

Valorizing the biodiversity of Brazil, I went in search of small suppliers, in different regions of the country, who cultivate and extract essential oils, hydrolates and other inputs in a respectful manner with nature. I found native plants, with rich Brazilian aromas and that still carry the stories of their regions and indigenous inhabitants.

Within this curation we separate essential oils from 5 biomas of the country and for an aromatic experience, a sensory tour through the smell through the different Brazilian landscapes.

Activity itinerary

This Aromatic Experience with Brazilian native essential oils, up to 5 people, takes 90 minutes. Native plants and Brazilian essential oils: I begin portraying our tropical climate and its regional nuances. Going through the characteristics of each plant species and how the climate (and the soil type, season of the year, cultivation method) affects the quality of the plant, the amount of essential oil extracted and the aroma. It's an invitation to feel. Then I describe the work of our suppliers here on the ILHA, who cultivate and distill essential oils. In this curatorship, I looked for producers who had an environmental concern, both in preparing the land and growing plants, but also with the local biome. Throughout this conversation, we will smell and experience different essential oils and their aromatic stories. At the end of the experience, you will be able to choose your essential oil, within the selection of Brazilian essential oils from the experience.
