What you can expect
Experience the true flavors of Emilia-Romagna on our Secret Food Tour: Parma, set in the elegant Piazza Garibaldi and historic center: the refined heart of Italy’s culinary capital.
This guided walking tour includes 6 generous tastings, carefully selected to showcase the products that made Parma world-famous. More than just a food tour, it’s a cultural journey through craftsmanship, tradition, and authentic Italian hospitality.
We begin in Piazza Garibaldi, surrounded by historic 17th- and 18th-century architecture, before visiting a traditional salumeria to enjoy a board of Prosciutto di Parma and local cured meats, served with the region’s signature fried bread and a glass of local sparkling white wine.
Next, discover why Parmigiano Reggiano is considered the king of cheeses. You’ll sample two different aged varieties and learn how time, technique, and terroir transform flavor and texture.
We then stop for erbazzone, Emilia-Romagna’s beloved savory pastry made with greens and cheese, a true taste of local comfort food.
At a classic city-center osteria, you’ll sit down for a freshly prepared handmade pasta dish, paired with a glass of regional red wine, representing the heart of Parmense cuisine.
To finish, we visit a historic bakery for a traditional local sweet end - and, of course, enjoy our exclusive Secret Dish, revealed only on the day of the tour.
Water is always included, and non-alcoholic options are available.
With small groups, expert local guides, and iconic tastings in authentic venues, this experience is perfect for food lovers who want to taste Parma beyond the guidebooks.
Come hungry, leave understanding why this city defines Italian gastronomy.
