Upon arrival at our charming studio, located at Van Roseveltkade #36 (inside Teasee), you'll be warmly welcomed with a refreshing iced tea or herbal infusion of your choice. The scent of essential oils and tropical blooms instantly sets the tone for a memorable and relaxing activity.

The experience begins with a short introduction to the art of candle making. Our friendly host will guide you through the basics — from choosing your fragrance to understanding the wax, wick, and pouring process. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who simply loves DIY crafts, you’ll feel right at home.

Next, you’ll select your fragrance blend from a curated menu inspired by local botanicals, tropical fruits, and calming wellness scents. You’ll then personalize your candle using natural wax, dried flowers, and eco-friendly materials. While your candle sets, you’ll have the opportunity to journal your affirmations, chat with others, or simply unwind in our cozy, plant-filled space.

This experience is the perfect way to start or end your vacation in Suriname. Whether you want a calm, mindful beginning to your trip or a sweet send-off, your custom-made candle becomes a meaningful souvenir — a scented memory of your time in the Paramaribo.

Meeting point and duration: The workshop takes place at The Candle Bar Su, located at Van Roseveltkade #36, inside the Teasee concept space. Please arrive 10 minutes early. The full experience lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
