The town is divided by the Pescia River. On one bank lies the Cathedral, while the opposite bank hosts the modern city center. Time for a coffee in Pescia center, before you reach the Paper Museum.

Pescia

Your driver will take you to a great site, out of touristy routes, the Museum of Paper in Pescia. It is a one hour drive from Florence. It is located inside a true ancient Paper mill, born with the aim of preserving and handing down the ancient art of working and making “handmade paper”. The experience includes a visit to the restored industrial building and a narration of the history of the Magnani family. Then a paper making master will teach you how to create a paper sheet, which you will take home at the end of the laboratory.

Time for exploring the town on own and for a great lunch. Do not miss to taste the "tordelli" lucchesi, a filled pasta, typical of the Lucca area.
