The Dr. Franjo Tuđman Bridge in Dubrovnik, opened in 2002, is a vital infrastructure that connects Dubrovnik with the rest of Croatia, spanning the Ombla River at its mouth. Construction began in 1997, and it bridges the Dubrovnik region, which had been isolated until then.
