What you can expect

Discover the best of Palma on a guided tour and let yourself be surprised by the history, evolution, curiosities and secrets of the old town of Palma.

Explore the three major monumental interventions that have taken place in the Cathedral:

The reconstruction of the main portal of the Cathedral of Mallorca at the end of the 19th century.
The great reform by Antoni Gaudí between 1904 and 1914, ordered by Bishop Joan Pere Campins.
The contemporary art intervention by Miquel Barceló (2007) in the old chapel of Sant Pere.

During this visit we will learn about the origins of the city of Palma from the arrival of the Romans to the present day. We will delve into the evolution of the cathedral, its names, its history, architecture, art and some of the most surprising curiosities of one of the most spectacular Gothic cathedrals in the Mediterranean. When was the Cathedral of Mallorca built? Who is buried there? Who is the bishop of Mallorca? Why is it called La Seu? All this and much more on our guided tour of Mallorca Cathedral.

In addition, we will continue our route through the streets of the medieval city, we will see some Mallorcan patios, the parish church of Santa Eulàlia, the royal convent of Sant Francesc, the Plaza de Cort, part of the Jewish quarter and we will finish at the municipal olivar market, the largest in the city, and the perfect place to taste the typical Mallorcan gastronomy or go to eat in a nearby restaurant.
