What you can expect

    Depart early in the morning and make your first stop at Agua Azul, a group of waterfalls created by the currents of the Otulún, Shumuljá and Tulijá rivers. The converging waters have formed shallow canyons bordered by cliffs, creating idyllic swimming areas for you to enjoy while soaking up the beauty all around you.

    The natural wonders only continue with a visit to the Misol-Ha waterfalls. Surrounded by the rainforest, gaze up on a 98-foot (30-m) cascade that plunges into a still pool below. From here, you head to your final stop at the ruins of Palenque. Travel back to the heyday of a mighty civilization as you wander among the incredible remains of Mayan buildings, including the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Foliated Cross, and the royal Palace. Afterward, the choice is yours to be dropped off near your Palenque hotel or back in San Cristobal.
