Take part in an authentic gastronomic experience in Paestum inside a period villa located close to the ancient walls. The masterclass is led directly by the owner of the property, guardian of a culinary tradition that has its roots in 1929, the year in which the family first introduced catering in Paestum.
The experience opens with a moment of welcome and the telling of the family history, followed by the handing out of the “Mani in pasta a Paestum” aprons. After an introduction to traditional “water and flour” pasta, you'll have the chance to chat with your tutor, ask questions, and hear anecdotes about the local culture.
The practical part involves preparing the dough and making the cavatelli, which you'll then enjoy during lunch. The menu includes local cold cuts and cheeses, cavatelli with tomato and basil from the garden, local bread, water, house wine, and coffee.
The experience ends with a certificate of participation and a souvenir photo, so you can take an authentic piece of Paestum tradition with you.
