We start your trip early (06:00 - 06:20) from your hotel in Puno. As we go, you will appreciate the Peruvian highlands: extensive plains, picturesque bodeals and lagoons teeming with Andean birds.

Abra Patapampa

At this point located at 4910 meters above sea level, you can see the majesty of the Andes Mountains, with unforgettable views of the volcano Misti, Chachani and Ubinas. Here, you’ll make a short stop to breathe fresh air, take pictures and listen to your guide’s explanation of the area’s geological formation and Andean customs.

Chivay

Chivay is the gateway to the Colca Valley and will surprise you with its picturesque streets, lively square and warmth of its people. Upon arrival, you will taste a delicious buffet lunch that includes local and international dishes. In the afternoon, you can immerse yourself to relax muscles and joints, in natural pools with 38oC waters, known for their therapeutic effects, while enjoying contact with nature. In the evening, you will witness traditional dances and music from the region, presented in a festive and colorful atmosphere. Meanwhile, you’ll savor typical dishes that reflect the cultural identity of the Colca Valley.

We start the second day at 06:00 with a delicious breakfast in the hotel, before embarking on the way to one of the most impressive points of the tour, the Cruz del Condor viewpoint (panoramic point) ideal to witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor, one of the most emblematic birds of the Andes and the vastness of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world.

Yanque

Along the way back to Chivay, you will discover small towns with colonial architecture, ancient traditions and inhabitants of great friendliness. You can stop at each one to take pictures, visit their churches and sample typical products, such as toasted corn or Andean cheese, while your guide shares legends and stories of the region.

Chivay

Back in Chivay, another buffet lunch awaits, where you can recharge your energy by sampling a varied selection of regional and international foods. This moment will be ideal to share impressions about the tour and say goodbye to the Colca Valley.

Arequipa

Finally, you will travel the route that connects Chivay with the city of Arequipa, appreciating how the mountain landscape is transformed along the way. You will arrive near the historic Plaza de Armas in Arequipa between 16:30 and 17:00, concluding this Andean adventure full of spectacular landscapes and unforgettable memories.
