⭐️ We are Oxford's oldest Tour Company, welcoming visitors for over 40 years ⭐️
Our famous 90-minute tours run hourly (11am - 4pm) from the gates of Trinity College on Broad Street. Widely praised as the best tours in Oxford, they have featured twice on the BBC and are recommended by America's TV travel guru Rick Steves.
All tours visit Oxford's major landmarks, including the Bodleian library, and go INSIDE one of the historic colleges.
Our university-educated guides are friendly and knowledgable. They will describe the history of Oxford, discuss life as a student here, explain the collegiate and tutorial system (unique to Oxford & Cambridge), and show you the 'dreaming spires' of Britain's oldest university.
Tours include entrance to one of Oxford's beautiful colleges, all with their own history, architecture, and traditions. Colleges we regularly visit include:
⭐️ New College, founded in 1379. A popular filming location, most recently seen in the Harry Potter movies, Inspector Morse, and His Dark Materials.
⭐️ Balliol College, founded c. 1263. Houses one of the University's most majestic dining halls (and is home to some of its most famous Prime Ministers…).
⭐️ Trinity College, founded in 1555 during England's counter-Reformation. Features a stunning chapel, sweeping lawns, and the medieval library of its 13th-century predecessor.
⭐️ University College, founded c. 1249. Has educated some of the world’s most famous people — including C.S. Lewis, Stephen Hawking, and Bill Clinton (whose favourite pub, an old gambling den, your guide may show you afterwards)!
In addition to your college entry and visit to the Bodleian library, all tours see Oxford's most iconic sights, such as:
⭐️ The Divinity School (c. 1482). The oldest lecture hall and examination room in Oxford — and a Harry Potter filming location!
⭐️ Sheldonian Theatre (1669). One of Sir Christopher Wren’s first buildings, prior to his reconstruction of St Paul's Cathedral in London.
⭐️ Hertford College (1874). With its romantic façade and 'Bridge of Sighs', instantly recognisable from Brideshead Revisited, Morse, Endeavour, Saltburn, and Wonka.
⭐️ Radcliffe Camera (1749). Perhaps Oxford's most iconic building. The favoured library of students as they cram before intensive final exams.
*The 4pm tour in the winter months includes the telling of popular ghost stories, from Oxford's sometimes-gruesome past, as you wander the historic streets in twilight. The guide will try to ensure these are age-appropriate for the group, but please be aware if bringing small children.
Please note that all tours operating in Oxford are subject to occasional, and sometimes unexpected, college and university closures. These are beyond our control, but our guides are used to handling such events and will ensure you see as much as possible on these days, including alternative colleges if available.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about your trip — we are here to help!
