Join your local nature guide for an easy and inspiring walk through the forests and seaside trails of Hietasaari Island. This area is home to many bird species, foxes, hares, and other Finnish wildlife.

Along the way, you’ll hear stories about local nature, the changing seasons, and the connection between people and the northern environment.

Depending on the time of year, you might see animal tracks in snow, Arctic spring, blooming wildflowers in summer, or colorful autumn leaves.

We’ll take short breaks to observe wildlife, listen to birds, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of nature close to the city.

What We’ll Explore:

Enjoy a relaxing 3–6 km walk through beautiful Arctic surroundings, lasting approximately 3–4 hours. Along the way, we’ll take a cozy break by the bonfire with traditional Finnish BBQ snacks whenever conditions allow. Alternatively, we’ll pause along the route to enjoy hot chocolate and light snacks in a peaceful natural setting.

At the end of the tour, we can visit the cozy Nallikari Restaurant for warm coffee, tea, and relaxed conversation by the sea.

Each tour is a little different, shaped by the rhythm of nature and what it chooses to reveal to us on that day.
