Do you know the large grandfather clock by Justus Möser in the town hall foyer? Have you already admired the imposing model of the city from 1633 on the first floor? Do you know the story behind the golden pineapple trophy in the treasury? No? - Then join us on our guided tour of Osnabrück City Hall!
Visit the historic Friedenssaal (Peace Hall) and experience firsthand where history was made in the city hall of Osnabrück! The dove on the large door handle at the entrance portal shows that this building is a symbol of peace. It is already the city's second town hall and is a good 500 years old. The building was completed in 1512 and could therefore be used for the negotiations for the Peace of Westphalia. These took place in Osnabrück and Münster from 1643 and ended the 30 Years' War. Did the ambassadors really negotiate in the Peace Hall? Find out on this tour!
