What you can expect

  • Discover Osaka Castle’s ingenious military design as you explore moats, layered defenses, and zigzagging routes once used to trap invaders.
See the massive stones, hidden mason marks, and the tallest castle stone wall in Japan, along with angled walls that made climbing impossible. Learn how the main tower functioned as a command post.
Finish by uncovering how this “invincible” fortress fell during the 1614–1615 siege between the Toyotomi and Tokugawa forces.

    【Important notice】
The night tour does not enter the Osaka Castle main keep.
Instead, you’ll enjoy a short and efficient walking tour where you can learn about Osaka Castle and samurai history without the daytime crowds.

We also stop by a quiet shrine, and the tour finishes with beautiful sunset or night-time illuminated views of the castle, creating a perfect backdrop for memorable photos.
The tour finishes outside the Main Tower, perfect for guests who want a light, casual night visit and a quick overview of Osaka Castle’s history.
