What you can expect

  • Discover the captivating beauty of the Lauterbrunnental on a scenic hike to Berghotel Obersteinberg, nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Bernese Oberland. We begin our adventure in Stechelberg and embark on winding trails, ascending past the majestic Schmadribachfall while uncovering traces of the region's fascinating mining history. Marvel at the panoramic views from Hotel Tschingelhorn before reaching your final destination.
The path becomes steeper as it meanders through the mountain forest, then opens up into beautiful alpine meadows. We'll soon reach the Berggasthaus Tschingelhorn, offering stunning panoramic views. Not far now to the Berghotel Obersteinberg, where the scenery is simply breathtaking. Waterfalls crash into the depths below, mountain streams gurgle and glaciers sparkle in the sunlight.
    Optional Hike to Oberhornsee
For an even more memorable experience, we can consider a 1-hour side-trip from Obersteinberg to the serene Oberhornsee glacier lake.
