Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka's hill country capital — rolling tea plantations, cool mountain air, and waterfalls at every turn. This private taxi tour is built for families and larger groups who want the comfort of an van, with room for everyone.
You're guaranteed a visit to one tea factory — Labookellie, Kingswood, or Blue Field Tea Gardens — with the other two included if time allows. Labookellie and Kingswood offer a free tea tasting; at Blue Field, tasting is available for a small fee. At Kingswood and Blue Field, you can also try the tea-picking experience — dress up as a tea plucker, basket and all, for some great photos among the plantations.
Then it's on to Ramboda Falls, a dramatic multi-tiered waterfall — swim if the weather allows.
