The night watchman's lamp lights up, and the night watchman on duty leads you on a tour lasting about an hour along atmospheric routes past historic façades, through evocative alleyways and past some of the most beautiful landmarks in Leipzig's Old Town.

The hustle and bustle of the day has come to a standstill, and now the past comes to life. Dressed in historical garb, the night watchman uses wit and charm to recount tales of bygone eras, mysterious events, and famous Leipzig personalities. You will hear stories about leading poets, ambitious mayors and the lives of ordinary people.
