Nuremberg after dark, without the awkward part. You show up alone or with a friend, and ten minutes later you're holding a welcome shot and talking to people from half a dozen countries.

Your host runs the night so nobody has to. Four bars over about four hours, a shot included at every one of them, picked because they're the kind of places where a group can actually talk - and later, dance. Between stops there are games and extra shots while supplies last. The point isn't the drinking. The point is that nobody ends up standing at the edge of the group.

Solo travelers are the rule here, not the exception. Most nights are a mix of travelers, exchange students, people in town for work and a few locals, and the whole thing runs in English and German.

The last stop is a club, and your entry is included. What happens after that is up to you - plenty of groups stay long after the host says goodnight.
