What you can expect
See Florida’s brightest bioluminescence right now. Last-minute spaces are often available. Call to book!
Experience the magic of bioluminescent kayaking on Florida’s Space Coast on a guided nighttime adventure in a clear kayak. As you paddle through calm coastal waters, millions of microscopic organisms light up beneath you, creating a glowing blue trail with every movement.
Meet your expert guide and launch into the darkness, where the water comes alive. Each paddle stroke, splash, and ripple triggers a natural light show as bioluminescent plankton (dinoflagellates) illuminate the waterways around your kayak. The clear kayak design allows you to see the glow not only beside you, but all around and directly below - front, back, sides, and bottom.
This tour takes place within protected inland waterways near Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, an area known for excellent bioluminescence conditions, especially during the summer months. The shallow, calm waters create ideal environments for some of the brightest natural bioluminescent displays in the continental United States.
Perfect for visitors staying near Cocoa Beach, Titusville, Cape Canaveral, or Orlando, this family-friendly eco-tour is a must-do Florida experience and often the highlight of any Space Coast vacation.
This tour is offered in two-person tandem clear kayaks only, due to restrictions on the number of boats allowed on the water. The clear kayaks are a canoe-kayak hybrid with a maximum total weight limit of 415 lbs. For comfort and performance, it is recommended that each paddler weighs under 200 lbs.
This is the most unique nighttime experience in Florida and often sells out during peak season, weekends, and new moon nights!
