The tour starts with a boat ride departing from the Paracas harbor. The boat ride lasts about 2 hours and takes you close to the islands, offering stunning views of the rocky cliffs and the diverse wildlife. Along the way, your guide will share interesting facts about the area’s history, the wildlife, and the ecosystem. As you approach the islands, one of the first things you’ll see is the Candelabro, a giant geoglyph carved into the side of a hill. This ancient symbol, visible from the sea, is believed to have been made by pre-Columbian cultures. The exact purpose and origin of the Candelabra remain a mystery, but it is thought to have been used for ceremonial or astronomical purposes.

After your visit to the Ballestas Islands, we drive you to the Pisco International airport. You will have some time to rest or enjoy a light snack, depending on the schedule of your Nazca Lines overflight. The flight lasts approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Please note that before the flight, there is a check-in process and a waiting period to board a small 10- or 12-passenger plane that will take you over the famous Nazca Lines and some lines in Palpa. After the overflight, if you are using the bus service we will return you to the bus station where you can comfortably wait for your return bus. If you have time, you can also choose to explore more of the area, such as the Julio C. Tello Museum, or simply relax. Our service concludes here. When you return to Lima, you will make your way to your hotel on your own. Alternatively, you may choose to continue your journey from Paracas to another destination, such as Huacachina (not included in the tour price).
