When entering the Natural Park of Mavrovo, you will be dropped off in the most iconic village of North Macedonia, which is called Galicnik*. From here, after a small break the hike will start through grasslands covering plateaus and mountain ridges around Mali Sar. During the summer the area is covered in countless mountain flowers.

On the way back, you’ll have the chance to make a quick stop at the famous submerged church. Note that this depends on the level of the water. This is a great opportunity to make a photo before returning to Ohrid.
