What you can expect

  • We will begin our route at the majestic Todaiji Temple, one of Japan's most iconic sites, where the Great Buddha of Nara, one of the largest bronze statues in the world, is located. The vastness of its main hall and the atmosphere of the temple leave an impression that is hard to forget.

Next, we'll head to Nigatsudō, located within the Tōdai-ji complex. From its terrace, you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Nara, which are especially beautiful during spring and the cherry blossom season.

We'll continue to the historic Kasuga Taisha Shrine, famous for its thousands of stone and bronze lanterns surrounded by a lush forest. This spot conveys a spiritual and traditional atmosphere that perfectly represents the most classic essence of Nara.

Our next stop will be Ukimidō, a small pavilion located on a peaceful pond within Nara Park. It will be an ideal time to relax, enjoy the scenery, and observe the sacred deer, considered divine messengers according to Japanese tradition.

We'll end the visit at Kōfuku-ji, an ancient temple known for its impressive five-storied pagoda, one of the most iconic in Japan. We'll stroll among its historic buildings and gardens while learning about some of the fascinating history of the former capital of Nara.
