Benesse House Museum is a unique museum and hotel complex designed by renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Opened in 1992, it was created around the concept of “the coexistence of nature, art, and architecture.” Overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, the museum features paintings, sculptures, photography, and installations, including site-specific works created especially for Naoshima.
