Route ①: Taisho Pond Bus Stop > Taisho Pond > Tashiro Pond > Kappa Bridge > Kamikochi Bus Stop
First-time visitors to Kamikochi are recommended to take this beginner-friendly route — no backtracking is required to see the key sights. The total distance is approx. 3.5 km and can be completed in about 1 to 1.5 hours. The trail is gentle and easy to walk, offering breathtaking and continuous views of the magnificent mountain scenery that will surely leave you captivated.

Route ②: Kamikochi Bus Stop > Kappa Bridge > Myojin Bridge > Hotaka Shrine Okumiya & Myojin Pond > Takesawa Marsh > Kamikochi Bus Stop
For the more adventurous hikers with plenty of time, it is highly recommended to stroll along the Azusa River all the way to Myojin Bridge. The round trip covers 5.6 km and takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. In addition to the endless mountain and riverside views that unfold before your eyes, Myojin Bridge offers a quieter and more serene beauty, distinct from the bustling crowds around Kappa Bridge.

※ As Kamikochi is a highland area at about 1,500m with unstable temperatures and changeable weather, it is recommended to wear comfortable, lightweight sports shoes and bring a raincoat, umbrella, hat, sunglasses, and an extra jacket for temperature changes.

18:30 – 19:00 Arrive in Nagoya. The tour concludes at Nagoya Station (Meet-up point at the MINISTOP convenience store at the back entrance of BIC CAMERA, Nagoya West Exit).
