Your trip will start with a pick-up from your hotel in Mysore. The first stop is the Mysore Palace, where you’ll spend about 1.5 hours walking through its grand halls and colorful courtyards. It’s the heart of Mysore’s royal history and a must-see.
Next, you’ll head to the lively Devaraja Market. Spend around 45 minutes here enjoying the sights and smells of fresh flowers, fruits, spices, and local goods. It’s a great place to feel the everyday life of the city.
From there, you’ll visit St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Take about 30 minutes to admire its tall spires and peaceful atmosphere. After that, you’ll drive to the Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, where you’ll spend 45 minutes learning about Tipu Sultan’s story and seeing the beautiful Indo-Islamic style architecture.

After lunch, you’ll take a scenic drive to the Prasanna Chennakesava Temple in Somnathpur, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend about 1.5 hours here exploring the temple’s amazing stone carvings and soaking in its calm and spiritual vibe.
On the way back to Mysore, you’ll make a short 15-minute stop again at St. Joseph’s Cathedral for a quick revisit or to take photos in the evening light. Finally, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel, ending your 6–7 hour journey with memories of history, culture, and local flavors.
