Description

Get up close to the breathtaking setting of the MUSA Underwater Museum, an extraordinary display of artwork in the waters of the Caribbean Sea. This diving tour takes you to the outskirts of Isla Mujeres to explore the remarkable artifacts anchored on the ocean floor.

Leave the Cancun hotel zone behind you as you board your boat at the Aquaworld Marina for your cruise to the waters around Isla Mujeres and the site of the museum. Enjoy the view as you cross the mighty Nichupté lagoon and approach the diving location.

Drop anchor and perform a final instrument check before stepping into your undersea adventure. Beneath the surface, a spectacular exhibition featuring the work of British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, a specialist in underwater sculptures, awaits you. Taylor designed the museum and its numerous marine cement figures to raise awareness about and help protect the coral reefs.

Admire the fascinating sculptures in their exceptional surroundings, many of them surrounded by corals and other marine vegetation. Swim through this serene and surreal underwater world, where hundreds of sculptures and figures are frozen in the clear blue depths. Your inspiring experience at the underwater museum concludes with a boat ride back to the marina.

Dive Master and his helpers were Great, did a morning dive, wish our guild pointed different fish out to us on our dive with him....I know that he probably dives everyday and it gets boring but it was the first time we dove there.... Did not get to see much of the Musa, was disappointed in that....

Awesome snorkeling experience. Friendly service. The activity got cancelled due to weather, but was easily reschedule. Really unique snorkeling experience, got to see and swim with a school of fish. The reef area isn't that impressive and the vest prevented light diving, but can't do much about federal rules. Got to keep the snorkel at the end. Ps. Open bar on the boat!!
