Wolfgang Beltracchi is a German painter and sculptor living and working in Switzerland, now recognised internationally as a contemporary artist with highly sought after works. He first gained global notoriety in 2011 through one of the biggest art forgery scandals of recent decades, in which he convincingly imitated the styles of numerous artists and fooled leading experts, museums, and collectors. Rumour has it that some of his forgeries may still hang undetected in major collections – making “Divine Stories” a uniquely fascinating chance to encounter now his genuine paintings and sculptures under his own name.
