What you can expect

  • Hire Taxi Japan's Mt. Fuji tour is a private, full-day (approx. 10 hours) driver-guided trip from Tokyo to the Fuji Five Lakes area. Vehicle, English-speaking driver, fuel, parking and tolls are all included in the price.

    Suggested itinerary:
    07:30 - Hotel pickup, Tokyo
    09:30 - Chureito Pagoda viewpoint (approx. 45 min): your driver guides you up the stone steps and explains the pagoda's history and the classic Mt. Fuji photo composition
    10:45 - Kawaguchiko lakeshore promenade (approx. 60 min; optional boat hire available at own cost)
    12:15 - Lunch stop (approx. 60 min, at your own expense)
    13:30 - Oshino Hakkai, eight snowmelt ponds (approx. 45 min)
    14:45 - Fuji World Heritage Centre or Fifth Station viewpoint, season permitting (approx. 60 min)
    16:00 - Depart for Tokyo
    18:00 - Approximate hotel drop-off
