Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba: a Japanese traditional Thatched Village with Iconic Mt. Fuji Backdrops
Begin your adventure at Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba, a charming traditional village with iconic thatched-roof houses. Capture stunning photos with Mt. Fuji as your backdrop. Try some delicious Japanese street snacks right at the village entrance. If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a ninja costume (extra cost) and add some fun flair to your photos.

Oishi Park & Maple Corridor: Seasonal Color Explosions from Lavender Fields to Fiery Autumn Leaves.
Next, head to Oishi Park by Lake Kawaguchi, where in summer the fields burst with fragrant lavender, and come autumn, the red broom grass paints the landscape in vivid colors. Nearby, during peak autumn (Oct 26–Nov 20), the Maple Corridor dazzles with fiery fall foliage perfectly framing the snow-capped Fuji—an absolute must-see for nature lovers.

Arakura Sengen Shrine & Five-Story Pagoda: The Legendary Fuji-View Photo Spot.
Then, visit Arakura Sengen Shrine and the Five-Story Pagoda at Arakurayama Sengen Park. This iconic spot is famous worldwide for its breathtaking view: the pagoda perfectly framed with Mt. Fuji behind it. Climb up the steps and you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view that photographers from all over dream about.

Oshino Hakkai: Crystal Clear Springs and Authentic Local Flavors by Mt. Fuji.
Last but definitely not least, visit the serene Oshino Hakkai, a set of eight crystal-clear spring ponds fed by Mt. Fuji’s melted snow. The peaceful scenery and reflections here are stunning year-round, but don’t miss out on tasting some unique local treats like freshly made rice crackers or wasabi ice cream nearby—it’s the perfect way to wrap up your day.
