Mount Pilatus – the Golden Round Trip has it all! Enjoy on this afternoon excursion the ascent by different aerial cable cars to beautiful Mt. Pilatus with possibilities of easy hikes and gorgeous photo opportunities. Descent by the world's steepest cogwheel railway and end the tour with a relaxing boat ride on Lake Lucerne.

After a short drive from Lucerne to Kriens, take a panoramic gondola and the new aerial cableway, Dragon Ride, to the top of Mount Pilatus at 7,000 feet (2,132 m). Enjoy the jaw dropping views out of the panoramic windows, especially designed to give the feeling of flying. Venture down the Dragon Path or make the short hike to the summit and relax on the panorama terrace as you admire breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains and blue lakes. Different restaurants invite for lunch.

The highlight of this mountain excursion is probably the thrilling descent on the world's steepest cogwheel railway, with a significant 48 degree gradient, down to Alpnachstad. Here you board the boat for a lovely cruise on the beautiful Lake Lucerne and make your 1-hour trip back to Lucerne where your journey ends at the pier.
