Overview

Dhaulagiri I is the seventh highest mountain in the world 8176 meters above sea level, remains within the boundry of Nepal. The Dhaulagiri Massif in Nepal extends 70 miles (120 km) from Kali Gandaki west to Bheri. The stunning massif is bounded on the north & southwest by trinutaries of the Bheri River & on the southeast by Myagdi Khola. Mount Dhaulagiri Expedition was first ascent on 13 may 1960 by team of Austrain, swiss & Nepali. Kuet Diemberger, Peter Diener , Trnst Forre, Albin Schelberts, Nyima Dorji & Nawang Dorji were member of expedition.

Day 01:Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel Day 02-04:Kathmandu tour and preparation for Dhaulagiri Expeditions Day 05:Drive or fly to Pokhara 950m(30 mins flight and 6 hrs drive) Day 06:Drive to Darbang 1,200 m via Beni 900 m -06 hrs Day 07:Trek to Riverside1, 700 m - 04 hrs Day 08:Trek to Bagar 2,375m -05 hrs Day 09:Trek to Dovan 2,600m-06 hours Day 10:Trek to Chartare/Bhaisi Kharka 3,000m -05 hrs Day 11:Trek to Pakhaban(Japanese Camp.) 3,750m -05 hrs Day 12:Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp 4,750m - 06 hrs Day 13: At base camp free day for acclimatization and rest Day 14: At base camp preparation for the climb to world 7th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri Day 15: Climb to Advance Camp 5,600 m. Day 16-30: Ascent to Dhaulagiri of 15 days duration for the climb and preparations Day 31-32: Back to Base Camp. Day 33: Clean up and packing end of expeditions. Day 34: Trek to Hidden Valley 4,900m via French Pass 5,360m. Day 35: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,915m - 05 hrs. Day 36: Trek to Marpha 2,670 m - 05 hrs Day 37: Drive back to Pokhara - 06 hrs. Day 38: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels Day 39- 40: In Kathmandu free day with individual activities Day 41: Departure Day
