Day 1: Morondava – Kirindy – Bekopaka

Depart early to reach the village of Bekopaka via the Kirindy Forest. Located 70 km from Morondava (about a 2-hour drive), the Kirindy Forest Reserve is distinguished by its rich flora (medicinal plants, precious wood trees, baobabs, etc.) with a high rate of endemicity. The Kirindy Forest also offers the opportunity to observe various animal species up close and without any danger: (Lemurs, The Sifaka, The Fosa, The snake ect…)

Have lunch in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina before heading back for an afternoon of trail riding to Bekopaka, at the gateway to the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. Cross the Manambolo River on a ferry. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel with half-board accommodation.

Day 2: Bekopaka – Grands Tsingy de Bemaraha

Depart for a dugout canoe ride at dawn. Cross the Manambolo Gorges to the caves where bats flock by the thousands, not forgetting the tombs of the “Vazimba,” little men, Malagasy ancestors. Afterward, discover the Great Tsingy of Bekopaka. The Tsingy are very sharp and pointed limestone rock formations that reach up to 60 meters in height. A marvelous site forming a cathedral of pointed limestone.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during the excursion. Overnight at the hotel with half-board.

Day 3: Bekopaka – Morondava

Head to Morondava early in the morning. Despite the quality of the track, relive with nostalgia this intoxicating discovery of the high, steep cliffs and magnificent landscapes. The unique sensation of measuring immensity creeps in once again.

Take the first ferry on the Manambolo River to arrive in Belo in the late morning. Have lunch there and then continue with the folkloric ferry crossing of the Tsiribihina River.

Pass by the famous Avenue of the Baobabs. Travel the red dirt track to arrive on time, photographing and immortalizing the magnificent sunset that gives its orange hue to the baobabs. Arrive in Morondava in the evening.
