Old Montréal has stories that most tours never tell. On this top award-winning small-group experience, recognized among the top 1% of travel experiences globally, your certified professional local guide brings Montréal's real history to life through storytelling that feels less like a tour and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely loves this city.
Real stories. Real insight. The kind of local knowledge that only comes from years of living and breathing this city.
While many tours can include a dozen or more people, we intentionally limit every group to just 10 guests. That difference may seem small, but it completely changes the experience. You’ll hear every word, move easily through the narrow cobblestone streets, ask questions freely, and actually feel like your guide is talking with you, not performing for a crowd. Because spots are limited, this tour fills up fast, particularly during peak season.
Over two engaging hours, you’ll explore both iconic landmarks and hidden corners, including Place d’Armes, the exterior of Notre-Dame Basilica, Place Jacques-Cartier, Bonsecours Market, and Saint-Paul Street. Along the way, you’ll uncover the real people, defining moments, and the layers of history, culture, architecture, and everyday life that shaped Montréal into the vibrant, unique city it is today.
It’s culture, architecture, local life, food traditions, art, history, stories and the small details that explain what actually makes Montréal feel so different from anywhere else. The kind of details that make you stop, look around, and see everything differently.
By the end, you won’t just have seen Old Montréal. You’ll understand it, feel connected to it, and wish you had more time in it.
To help you keep exploring, you’ll receive our curated list of trusted local recommendations for the best places to eat, drink, and discover nearby, along with a small local treat and a unique parting gift.
