Afterward, we travel approximately 6 kilometers to the second protected area: the renowned Monteverde Wildlife Refuge. This transition allows you to experience two distinct habitats within the Monteverde region. The guided night walk begins at 5:30 PM, just as the forest transitions from daylight activity to nocturnal life.
During this two-hour rainforest night tour, you will explore specially selected trails where wildlife becomes active after sunset. With the assistance of flashlights and professional spotting techniques, you may observe red-eyed tree frogs, glass frogs, insects, reptiles, sleeping birds, and mammals such as sloths or opossums.
